Kim Simmonds is heading into 4 decades of playing the Blues. Kim founded legendary British Blues band, Savoy Brown, in 1965. He has continued making new albums and taking worldwide tours and ranks among the all-time greatest guitar players.
Kim's first solo album,"Solitaire", is of acoustic Blues with Kim playing all tracks of guitar, harmonica and piano. The feel of the album brings you back to the way Blues was meant to be played and tributes those who have influenced him.
Kim's second solo and fully acoustic album, "Blues Like Midnight", doesn't miss a step from his first. This album was recorded in the northeast city of Oswego, New York at the White Cottage Studio. Kim also has the talents of homebrewed musicians Garnet Grimm and Pete DeSalvo help out. Once again, Kim treats us to a listen of how the Blues was meant to be played.
