Old Union was initially billed as the back up band for Bonnie Bramlett during the 2004 New York State Rhythm'N'Blues Festival held in Syracuse, NY. When Long John Baldry got held up at the border, Old Union stepped up and gave an incredible solo set before Bonnie came out. We had just endured a terrential downpour and then these guys came on to give one of the best performances of the day. We are proud to have their debut disc, "forgiveness or permission" available here at Nadeau Music. Topped off by the thoughtful songwriting of Chuck Foster, the band gives a refreshing blend of Rock, Blues, Country and Folk with respect to the southern sounds of Tennessee.
